I met jack in 1988 at Cardinal Machinery. We worked there together. He got me back into riding. One day I think it was a Saturday around 1990 he had just got a brand new 500 and we was taking it out to wolf river for the first time. I was in my truck with my bike in the back and jack was pulling a small open 3 bike trailer with his BRAND NEW HONDA 500. Man he was proudof that bike!!! We didn't get but about a mile or so and one of the straps came off of it!!! Keep in mind I was behind him watching all... It fell off the right side of the trailer and was dragging down the road!!!!! I was blowing my horn and everything trying to get him to stop! By the time he got stopped it had scatched all the right side of that BRAND NEW BIKE UP!!! He was so sick about it I don't think we went riding that day! But that was just one of many memories I have of my ol'friend Jack. I will miss him as long as I live...

Many people, including myself, until the interview I did with local MX star, David Barnett, know that Jack was also a great motocross rider. David told me that Jack was right along side of him in the winner's circle on many pondiums.
